What the Starfish Means to Us
According to legend, starfish are reflections of stars that inhabit the ocean floor. Symbolizing rebirth, starfish have a remarkable ability for regeneration. Each limb works as part of the whole, and if just one limb breaks off, a new one grows in its place.
The Starfish is often associated with characteristics such as guidance, vigilance, inspiration, brilliance and intuition. In a sense, it is a symbol of life moving forward.
As each new student walks through our doors with their own unique goals and aspirations, we feel it is our responsibility to help you learn to nurture that goal and build the foundation needed toward a new career, and more important, a new start on life.
At Daytona College, we feel much like the Starfish, many limbs working towards keeping each symbol of life moving forward. Our administration truly believes that every resource necessary should be put forth to ensure that each individual student that passes through our doors not only thrives, but shines.
