Daytona College’s Therapeutic Massage and Skin Care is an Associate’s Degree program. You’ll be prepared to perform dual roles in the allied health and spa industry as a Massage Therapist and Facial Specialist.
The unique combined program prepares you for the National Certification Examination offered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork for licensure as a massage therapist in Florida and also for Registration as a Facial Specialist with a Certification in Body Wrapping in Florida.
After you graduate, you can be licensed for massage therapy, registered as a facial specialist and certified in body wrapping. You’re also qualified for entry-level employment as a licensed and registered professional who possesses training critical for employment opportunities in resort spas and medical facilities. You’ll be able to demonstrate communication and employable skills as well as apply professional and appropriate ethics to all areas of the job.
